Booking

You can book directly through our website at book.plux.com for the best rates and instant confirmation. We also list on Airbnb and Booking.com, but booking direct saves you up to 15% as we pass on the platform fees we avoid.

Standard check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. We offer self check-in with a secure lockbox or smart lock at every property, so you can arrive at your convenience. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request — just ask us.

We offer free cancellation up to 7 days before your check-in date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in will receive a 50% refund. No refund is available for cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in or for no-shows. Please check your booking confirmation for the specific policy that applies to your reservation.

When you book directly through book.plux.com, you save up to 15% compared to third-party platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com. This is because we pass on the service fees those platforms charge. You also get direct communication with our team and priority support.

Stay

Yes, every Plux Stays property has free, high-speed WiFi. Our connections are suitable for streaming, video calls, and remote work. Network details and passwords are provided in your welcome guide upon check-in.

Yes, all linen, towels, and bath mats are provided at every property. Beds are made up fresh before your arrival with quality hotel-grade linen. We also provide tea towels and basic bathroom amenities including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Yes, free parking is available at all Plux Stays properties. Our CBD property (Plux Hereford) has secure underground parking, while all other properties have off-street parking on-site. The number of spaces varies by property — check your listing for details.

A one-time cleaning fee is included in your booking total and is clearly displayed before you confirm your reservation. We ask guests to leave the property in a tidy condition — dishes washed, rubbish in bins, and furniture returned to its original position. Excessive cleaning requirements may incur an additional charge.

Every booking includes direct contact details for our property management team. We are available by phone, text, and email to help with any issues during your stay. Our goal is to respond within 30 minutes during business hours and within 2 hours outside of business hours.

Property

Pets are not permitted at any of our properties. This policy helps us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensures a comfortable stay for all guests, including those with allergies. If you have a specific need, please contact us to discuss options.

Several of our properties are ideal for larger groups. Plux Poulter sleeps up to 12 guests, and Plux Central Ave Houses can accommodate up to 16 across two side-by-side homes. We welcome family reunions, sports teams, and group getaways. However, parties and events that may disturb neighbours are not permitted. Please contact us if you are planning a special occasion.

Yes, Plux Poulter in Lincoln has an EV charger available for guests. If you are travelling with an electric vehicle, this is a great option. Charging is complimentary during your stay.

Location

Our properties range from 10 to 25 minutes' drive from Christchurch International Airport. Plux Hereford in the CBD is about 15 minutes, our Prebbleton properties are about 20 minutes, Lincoln properties are about 25 minutes, and Plux Cottage near Tai Tapu is about 25 minutes. All properties have clear driving directions in the booking confirmation.

Canterbury has something for everyone. City guests can walk to the Botanic Gardens, Riverside Market, and museums. Our rural properties are close to Banks Peninsula, Akaroa, Port Hills trails, Lake Ellesmere, and some of the best golf courses in the South Island. Every property listing includes a curated guide to nearby attractions, dining, and activities.

We do not provide transport services directly, but we can recommend trusted local shuttle and taxi services. Christchurch also has Uber and Ola ride-share services. A rental car is recommended if you plan to explore Banks Peninsula, the Port Hills, or other day-trip destinations from our rural properties.
