Our Story
Plux Stays began with a simple idea: create holiday accommodation that feels like home — but better. Founded by Matt Long, Plux has grown from a single rental property into a portfolio of eight premium stays across Canterbury's most desirable locations.
Every Plux property is personally curated and managed by Matt, ensuring consistent quality, thoughtful touches, and an exceptional guest experience. From the boutique Plux Cottage on a private lifestyle block to the expansive Plux Poulter with its games room and EV charger, each property has its own character and charm.
What started as a passion for hospitality has become a thriving business — and Matt now helps other property owners succeed through co-hosting and online services.

Matt manages every aspect of the guest experience — from listing optimisation and dynamic pricing to personal welcome messages and local recommendations. His hands-on approach has earned him recognition as an Airbnb Host of the Year Finalist in 2024 and a consistent place in Airbnb's top 1% of hosts globally.
Beyond hosting, Matt runs Plux Online Services, helping other hosts set up professional property management systems, and offers co-hosting services from just 8%.
